Nick Riopi
Nick Riopi has been a lifelong martial artist, beginning his training at just seven years old. His martial arts background spans multiple disciplines, and he holds a 2nd Degree Black Belt in American Jiu-Jitsu as well as certification as a Jeet Kune Do / Kali Concepts Instructor under the lineage of Dan Inosanto.
Nick and Peak Jiu-Jitsu founder Jonathan Satava’s history goes back to 2009, when they trained together under Jonathan’s first instructor, Krishna Mirijah. After years of training alongside one another, Nick would eventually have the honor of being Jonathan’s first Black Belt promotion, making him an important part of both Jonathan’s and Peak Jiu-Jitsu’s history.
As an instructor, Nick brings decades of martial arts experience to the mat and has a natural aptitude for kids coaching and breaking instruction down in a digestible & easy to understand manner for everyone. He specializes in helping students build a strong base while developing confidence, discipline, focus, and a genuine enjoyment of martial arts.
Today, Nick is the Head Instructor at Peak Jiu-Jitsu New York, where his extensive martial arts background, technical knowledge, and years of coaching experience make him an invaluable resource for students of all ages and experience levels.
